Law Commission appoints new joint Chief Executive
Roshnee Patel has been appointed as joint CEO of the Law Commission of England and Wales. Roshnee is working as the joint CEO with Joanna Otterburn while Stephanie Hack takes a career break for 12 months.
Before joining the Law Commission, Roshnee worked as a Deputy Director in HM Courts and Tribunals Service and has experience working across various departments including the Ministry of Justice, Home Office and Cabinet Office.
Welcoming the appointment of the new joint CEO, Sir Peter Fraser, Chair of the Law Commission, said:
“All of us at the Law Commission are delighted that Roshnee is joining us as joint Chief Executive at the Law Commission for the next year.
“We are very lucky to have her join us at this exciting time, with all that is happening at the Law Commission including the forthcoming finalisation of the 14th Programme.
“The Law Commission has an extremely busy period ahead, and Roshnee’s considerable experience and guidance will be invaluable”.
On joining the Law Commission, Roshnee said
“I am absolutely honoured to be here at the Law Commission – an organisation I first started engaging with when I was a law student. I care deeply about making sure what we do is in line with what the public need in terms of fair and balanced law reform using a wide range of evidence.”
