Reporting on its inquiry into the Criminal Cases Review Commission, the House of Commons Justice Select Committee has recommended that the Law Commission review the Court of Appeal’s grounds for allowing appeals. It would be for the government to respond to this recommendation and ask the Law Commission to consider whether or not to conduct such a review. We have not received any request from the Government in relation to this recommendation.
